Crafters Corner Consignment Contract

Crafters Corner reserves the right to revise or update this contract at any time. The
consignor has the right to sign the revised contract , or withdraw his/her items from
Crafters Corner with no penalty to the consignor.
Crafters Corner and the undersigned mutually agree to the following:
1. The commission retained by Crafters Corner will be 30% of the price of each
item.
2. The consignor determines the selling price of his/her items, and must tag each
item with tags supplied by Crafters Corner. Each tag must be filled out with the
consignor’s number, item number, and price. All the information on each ticket, plus
a legible hand printed description of each item must be transcribed on the consignor
activity sheet.. The activity sheet is the bookkeeping that will aid the consignor and
the Crafters Corner staff in identifying an item when it is withdrawn, or the price is
reduced. If the consignor wishes to place his/her items on sale, then each item must
be tagged with a sale tag, supplied by Crafters Corner, and attached to the original
colored tag. Any change in the original price of an item must be updated on the
consignor’s activity sheet. Prices may be reduced at any time during the three
month time period. . Items with missing tickets will set aside in the lost and found
area, and become shop property after 14 days. You may check this area at any time
for items you are missing.
3. If the consigned items are not sold within the three month time period , they must
be withdrawn by the fourth day of the fourth month, or become the property
of Crafters Corner. No exceptions will be made. All items that are withdrawn
must be recorded on the consignee’s activity sheet before being removed from the
store. Your items may be removed at any time during the three month period. Due to
the growing volume of consignments, we are unable to notify consignors that their
consignment expiration date is coming up. It is the consignor's responsibility
to keep track of the expiration date.
4. Every item must be approved by the staff at Crafters Corner. Certain items
may be rejected if as follows: they do not meet the standards of Crafters Corner,
there is an over stock of that item, or there is a lack of space on the floor. Standards
may be listed or stated by the staff of Crafters Corner. Large objects need to be
measured, and phoned into Crafters Corner for approval, primarily for
acquisition of floor space.
5. Display of the consigned items will be the responsibility of the Crafters Corner
staff. All items are to be left in the tagging area..
6. The limit on the number of items to be consigned is _______________________for
each (week ) (month). The number of items may change when and if the volume in
Crafters Corner becomes close to max capacity.
7. If items are for a particular holiday, the consignor agrees to withdraw the items
within 14 days after the holiday has passed, even if the three month period has not
ended. If after the 14 days the items are not picked up, they become the
property of Crafters Corner. No exceptions will be made.
8. Crafters Corner is not responsible for the loss or damage of consigned items. All
items are consigned at the consignors own risk. Crafters Corner is not responsible for
any item damaged because of fire, loss, water, theft, or breakage.
9. All sales are final. However, in the event of defective merchandise, or
non-fulfillment of special orders, the consignor will be responsible to the purchaser for
the full purchase price.
10. Payment to the consignor will be made by check on the 5th , or the first working
day after the 5th of each month, if the 5th falls on a Sunday. Each check will include
all sales made during the previous month. The consignor must claim and cash all
checks within 90 days of the issue date on the check. After 90 days the checks
become void and will not be reissued. Checks may be mailed if the consignor
provides self-addressed, stamped envelopes. Crafters Corner will not be responsible
for checks lost in the mail, nor will they be reissued.
11. Crafters Corner will be required to give out 1099 tax forms on all consignors that
make $600 or more in one year. Because of this, Crafters Corner will require each
consignor’s Social Security Number. All this information will be held in strict
confidence.
12. It is the responsibility of the consignor to handle their own special orders. Orders
must be tagged with tags provided by Crafters Corner, and entered into the
consignor’s activity sheet. The commission fee must be paid on all orders or referrals
that come from the Crafters Corner.
13. Crafters Corner has the right to ask the consignor to remove his/her items from
Crafters Corner if any of the provisions of this contract are violated.
